Modern Scandinavian Design
Introducing the Terassi Sauna - a luxurious addition to your relaxation routine. Crafted from Nordic Spruce, this sauna is built to last, with a wall thickness of 42mm and roof and floor boards made from 19mm Nordic Spruce. The foundation beams, measuring 44x120mm, provide a sturdy base, while the roof beam, measuring 44x120mm, offers added strength and support.
The Terassi Sauna comes unpainted, allowing you to customize it to match your home's decor. The door, made of tempered glass, offers a sleek and modern touch. Large windows, also made of tempered glass and measuring 653x1782mm, allow natural light to flood the interior, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere.
The Terassi outdoor sauna also comes equipped with specially designed interior roof finishing boards, offering the flexibility to enhance its thermal efficiency by adding insulation. While this design allows for easy customization based on your specific insulation needs, please note that the necessary insulation materials, along with a vapor barrier to prevent moisture ingress, are not part of the package. These components will need to be acquired separately, with the selection and purchase of suitable materials left to your discretion, based on availability and preferences within your local area.
The sauna benches, skirt, and backrest are made of knotless Aspen, offering both durability and comfort. The roof covering is made of top-class self-gluing EPDM, providing protection from the elements and ensuring the longevity of your sauna.

Scandinavian Nordic Spruce
Spruce is a great choice for any kind of sauna. The quality rustic look (with small tight knots) is traditional and beautiful with its unique wood grain. Spruce sauna wood is popular in Finland and traditional European saunas. When kept outside, Spruce should be stained or painted (similar to a deck or garden shed) to keep it in top condition and ensure you can continue enjoying your Garden Sauna for many years!
Spruce's Characteristics & Qualities
Spruce has a fresh scent and a pleasant light colour, and it is a soft wood and thus is pleasing to the touch inside the sauna. Some of the characteristics and qualities that make Spruce such a popular specie includes the following:
Lighter Color - The color is the most common difference between Spruce and other sauna woods. The lighter wood gives the sauna a cleaner, more spacious feel and a contemporary look. In addition, the lighter wood has the desired feeling of spaciousness, helping to dispel a sense of closeness.
Less Discoloration – Stain resistance is another Spruce advantage. Darker wood can quickly discolor in a sauna environment, turning gray or black. However, with only normal cleaning (occasionally wiped down with a mild detergent and water), Spruce will stay the same as its original color and condition.
Sustainably Sourced – Spruce has been classified by the IUCN Red List of Threatened Species as being at the "least concern" level.
Proven Quality – Traditionally, saunas built in Scandinavia, the birthplace of saunas, use Spruce. In Europe, the vast majority of saunas are constructed out of Spruce. Spruce is a proven choice with a long track record of creating beautiful saunas and makes an excellent building material for your garden oasis. Cedar and other lumber types are typically only used in the U.S. due to their availability.
